the 4C System: Edition 13 Master Roster

If you're not interested in looking through the various roster pages scattered across the 4C System: Edition 13 site to find all the original characters housed within, the master roster is here for you. Everybody housed on www.edition13.com is collected here, in one place, for your perusal. Whether they hail from the rules corpus or one of my bizarre projects, all my originals can be found here:

Abzu: second of the gods, and the father of them all, mighty Abzu is the progenitor of the Anunnaki. Their revered ancestor until he plotted with Mummu to slay them all, Abzu ultimately became the enemy of the Anunnaki, and was slain by crafty Enki as a result.

Agent Deathmonger: having a long history with both the United States Army and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, former Mjr. Michael Shaw is an expert in investivative work, and can keep his objectivity no matter how bizarre everything gets.

Asclepius: son of Apollo, Asclepius was originally the best surgeon in all of Greece, trained by the centaur Chiron. After Hades petitioned Zeus to slay him, Asclepius ascended to godhood himself... seemingly living on to this very day.

Atlanteans: these fearsome, transparent sea phantoms are utterly against the human development of undersea resources of any type, and whenever any such project gets too far, these folks (practically invisible in the water), usually put it down - and hard.

Aya: the goddess of dawn, Aya has the task of dispelling the darkness before the sun, Shamash, rides through the sky on his solar chariot. Though this is her primary duty, she also represents youth, love, sex, marriage, and motherhood.

B'ntri: alien horrors, B'ntri are the subterranean spawn of a rogue planet adrift for eons in the black void of interstellar space. Escaping their world using technology left on it by its original sentients, these super-carniverous murder machines are free to plague known space!

Señor Barnett: the child of two super heroes, Arpad Barnett didn't develop powers initially, living a cheerfully normal life. At least, he did until his uncontrollable technopsionic legacy caught up with him, and seemingly unhinged the man!

Bashmu: originally taking the form of the singular Labba, bashmu were devised by Tiamat as one of her eleven monster generals. After slaying the beast, Teshub used its heart to magically create more, and now these winged serpents are a menace to all!

Bunene: the first son of Aya and Shamash, Bunene is the latter's sukkal, or vizier. It is Bunene's task to drive Shamash's chariot across the sky each day, and to intercede between Shamash and the many mortals who implore him for aid and/or power.

Chase Storey: a former investigative reporter and science fiction author of some repute, the man operating under the pseudonym of Chase Storey now has a new career path. Instead of just looking into various mysteries, he often fights evil!

the Discarder: obsessed with explosions since he was a child, Enrique Jimenez grew up to love wielding fireworks and firearms as often as possible. Transforming his love into a career, he ultimately developed into the contact killer known as the Discarder!

Doctor Inexplicable: surrounded by obnoxiously weird happenings his entire life, Doctor Emilio Samson was unable to retain employment at any other practice. As such, he founded his very own, one catering to the bizarre shenanigans that haunt his every waking moment.

Dwarves: hailing from the extradimensional realm of Nidavellir, these stout folk have been slowly making their way to earth over the years, mostly because a) they easily blend in, and b) they seem to enjoy the exploration of its boundless depths, for some reason.

Elves: the by-product of intermingling between fairies and humans, elves have stablized into a people all their own. These folks tend to stick to their own kind, finding human civilization somewhat noxious and faerie civilization (such as it is) absolutely abominable.

Ereshkigal: the Queen of the Dead, Ereshkigal has ruled Irkalla since she was young. Wielding absolute power over both mortal and divine entities that have passed into the Realm of No Return, Ereshkigal is one of the most powerful Anunnaki!

Fae: inexplicable extraplanar entities, the fae are highly chaotic in both behavior and their very existence. Thanks to this and their overwhelmingly amorous proclivities, fae have bred with just about everything at some point, explaining why their culture and magic is so prevalent.

Fairies: while they are supernatural creatures that superficially resemble short humans with wings, fairies are inhuman monsters if their behavior is any indicator. Having no regard for anything but their own twisted desires, fairies are a danger to everything around them.

First Folks: before humanity existed as we currently understand it, the Anunnaki did a previous run of mankind. Their considerable longevity led to overpopulation, however, and the resultant noise prompted mighty Enlil to repeatedly plot their demise.

Frankenshanken: a young anarchist who fancies herself an artist, Jolene Valdez has fallen in with the occult terrorist outfit known as ABBREVIATION. Rarely joining them in their criminal outings, Jolene primarily aids their recruitment using her potent marketing skills.

G-Taur: FBI agent Ezekiel Adams was forever changed after an encounter with an inexplicable bull cult. Thinking his skills and unique new abilities a perfect fit for their organization, the Bullet Sponges recruited him for their battle against supernatural terrorists!

Ghouls: like their mindless lessers, ghouls arise due to the intervention of magic, exotic chemicals, viruses, or botched vampirism conversions. However, they're stronger and more intelligent, qualities that make them far more dangerous than their zombie 'relatives'.

Gugalanna: the Celestial Bull, Gugalanna is the template for similar beings in later pantheons of gods. The second husband of Ereshkigal, Gugalanna served as Anu's chief muscle until he was murdered by Gilgamesh and Enkidu.

Haia: one of the oldest of the Igigi, Haia is the defender of doorways, and he who safeguards storehouses. A master organizer, Haia also manages the banquet hall of the Anunnaki, ensuring that the leaders of the gods are properly catered to.

Jl'rtz: coherent photonic entities evolved in the vicinity of a particularly energetic quasar, Jl'rtz tend to look down on mere material entities. Inflicting their own sense of order across vast stretches of space, they don't make many friends wherever they wander.

Khronos: in some versions of Greek cosmology, Khronos was one of their first generation gods. This massive, serpentine deity appeared fully formed from the cosmos, and created the Olympic multiverse alongside his mate and fellow primordial, Ananke.

Kittu: the second son of Aya and Shamash, Kittu serves as the right hand of the latter deity. He helps his father mete out justice in all matters, when Shamash himself is too busy being the sun to do so, and enjoys ferreting out hidden truths.

'Hairy' Harry Maxwell: a seasoned goon for a dangerous and far-reaching criminal syndicate, Harry is well-connected and highly places. But then, Maxwell bolsters his position and his pocketbook by informing on the competition to the police.

Mechani: a silicon-based life form with a penchant for exploration, the mechani typically resemble jury-rigged robots. But then they do have the ability to incorporate external technologies into themselves, whether to heal damage or to adopt whatever function it has.

Mesharu: the daughter of Shamash and Aya, Mesharu serves as the former's left hand. It falls onto her to dispense the justice that Shamash judges necessary, though on occasion she will stand in as the sun when his duties require him elsewhere.

Mhunghus: whether a single Mhungi or several Mhunghus are encounteed, one cannot help but be stunned by the amazing intelligence they hold. Wise beyond their usually short years, Mhunghus can be found scattered across the galaxy, even on earth.

Michelle 232: though Michelle Jensen is one of the more recent 'Mikes' that Mike 013 encountered via the Jensen Congress, she's been one of his most reliable friends. So much so, in fact, that she often helps Agency 13 on its various clandestine jobs!

Mike 013: Mike Jensen was driven to prove the validity his odd notions regarding space and time, and once he did so he met various variant versions of himself that felt the same. Having done this, Mike now seeks out new mysteries to occupy his time.

Minion Marvin: quickly recognizing the dearth of mundane opportunities available to the super-human populace, human resources expert Marvin Thibodeaux formed Supernormal Resources, helping various ascendant humans find gainful, legal employment.

Namtar: the son of a union between Ereshkigal and an adulterous Enlil, Namtar is the god of disease. Her first-born son, Namtar serves mighty Ereshkigal as her sukkal in the underworld, catering to her every need and actualizing her every whim.

Nike: the Greek goddess of victory, Nike has always been a close confidant of Athena. A 'behind the scenes' power in the Olympian pantheon, she subtly ensured their many victories over the eons against their countless, monstrous foes.

Ninazu: the son of Ereshkigal, the Queen of Irkalla, and Gugalanna, the Celestial Bull, Ninazu reflects both of his parents natures. However, being born on the Serpent's Mount, has given Ninazu a serpentine distinctiveness, as well.

Ninlil: the daughter of Haia and Nisaba, Ninlil was a smart young goddess in her own right. Upon marrying mighty Enlil, and becoming queen of the gods, Ninlil acquired power over the wind to complement her inherited mastery of grains and other plants!

Nisaba: closely associated with the dawn of human civilization, Nisaba was originally a goddess of grain. As trade spread throughout Sumer and beyond, she became one with the concept of writing, each act of which serves as veneration of her!

Pixies: formerly human in both nature and stature, pixies have drifted apart from their taller brethren for reasons that are still debated. Regardless, they have devolved into petty tricksters, and truly delight in wielding their meager skills for naught but their own amusements.

the Post-modern Girl: a computer programmer hired by Argyle's Wizardyne corporation, Harolene Zachs was experimented upon as a part of his byzantine schemes against his corporate superior - but has since joined Agency 13 as one of its investigators!

Quick-Me-Up: born with mutations which allow her to greatly bolster the abilities of others, Janine quickly settled into the role of a professional sidekick. While she'd rather her powers work on herself, Janine doesn't mind making money helping others to succeed.

Richard Private: a journalist in the employ of the Galileian Dispatch, Richard Private documents the expeditions its two-fisted scientists undertake around the world. Though not a man of science himself, he believes the Dispatch's work must be recorded.

the Scofflawyer: a lawyer who takes on seemingly hopeless cases for the sheer challenge of them, Astrid Gustavson has developed a considerable reputation in the underworld. While she's no scofflaw, she's taken on that name for her wildly successful legal practice.

Shamash: the god of the sun, Shamash illuminates the earth on his daily journey across the sky. From his vantage point over all, Shamash can see the wrongs committed by man, which helps him to judge both truth and justice when necessary.

Sir Tophat: after disappearing to seek his Purpose in life, Barnaby Clay was lost to human memory. He resurfaced years later as the one and only Sir Tophat, Voodoo Houngan extraordinare, a powerful mage determined to protect America from harm!

Sticks McLellan: a priestess of Nike with a predilection for extreme violence, Danielle McLellan was chosen by Mike 013 to be one of his special investigators of the bizarre - even if, more than anything, she smashes her way through most crises.

Teshub: the highly improbable child of Anu and Enlil, Teshub is a storm god born into conflict. While not recognized as one of the Anunnaki, Teshub is most definitely one of them, and has gone on to serve as a member of at least six distinct pantheons!

Tiamat: first of the gods, and the mother of deities and monsters, Tiamat is the creatrix of the Anunnaki. Having been both a mentor and an enemy of her descendants over the eons, Tiamat is viewed with both reverence and terror by them simultaneously.

Vampires: though the exact origin and nature of the once-human creatures traditionally known as vampires is unclear, it is definitely a fact that each and every one of these evil, crafty creatures constantly hungers for one thing: blood. Human blood, preferrably.

Vivian Victor: an aging special tactics policeman, Vivian Victor is a self-described organized crime historian. Having parlayed his love of crime trivia into a parallel career, he's now a noted writer of fiction and non-ficton books on the subject.

Zombies: whether raised by magic or chemicals or viruses, zombies are a grave (pardon the pun) threat to humanity as a whole. Though usually mindless and incredibly awkward, zombies can be tenacious in their pursuit, and terrifying in large numbers.
